Bad Mornings and Good Days
It should not come as a surprise that even a Benedictine monk can have difficult mornings. The sun is
shining, and birds are singing, but there is war in the world, my friend lies sick in hospital, relationships
at the workplace are a bit tense, and my purse empties itself far too quickly. Nothing new, to be sure.
Nothing insuperable, either, although it seems to require greater courage and more energy than what is
available on that very morning.
