Tea Shop

Quarr Abbey Tea Shop & Farm Shop, open throughout the year, is an extension to our many visitors of the monastic community’s ministry of welcome. Come and enjoy one of our light lunches, all freshly prepared and making the most of our organic produce grown on-site.

Our Tea Shop provides an oasis of peace where people can relax and have time for themselves and for God. If you’re not looking for something to eat, you can still settle back and enjoy peace and tranquillity within our gardens and grounds accompanied by a cup of fresh Fairtrade tea or coffee.

Watch the wildlife from the comfort of your chair as red squirrels can be seen hopping about the lawn, buzzards ride the thermals overhead and there’s even a friendly robin that will perch waiting for a cake crumb or two.

Our small, friendly team and volunteers are well-known to provide a warm welcome and friendly service.

Welcome to the Abbey of Our Lady of Quarr, a monastery on the Isle of Wight, just off the south coast of England. It is home to a small group of Benedictine monks who strive to dedicate their lives to the glory of God, and whose day is characterised by prayer, work and community life.

Quarr Abbey is situated in an area of outstanding natural beauty. Visitors are welcome to attend worship in the Abbey Church. You can visit our gardens, take refreshment in our Tea Shop and find out about the monastery in our Visitor Centre. The Farm Shop offers home grown produce and the Monastery Shop religious articles, books and souvenirs. There is a new exhibition of the work of local artists every week in the gallery.
