We are always looking for ways to develop and improve Quarr, without disturbing its unique tranquility.
We have various projects taking place and have various initiatives planned for the future:
- Our tea garden is being improved. We are supported by local organisations, including the Isle of Wight Beekeepers Association, Southern Housing, the Blue Sky Arts program and a group of volunteers who manage our chickens.
- Our historic buildings are in need of constant maintenance and repairs. We have carried out significant work on the sanctuary tower and other higher points of the church buildings. The guesthouse will be going through some refurbishment and our Monastery Shop continues to grow.
All of these initiatives require time, money and the dedication of a volunteer workforce.
